Well! Just about 5 days until Christmas, that means I have been busy! Plus with a friend from Texas in town, Birthday Lunch for another friend, an Interview, and more Etsy sales than I have been used to, its going to be a great week!

I feel like while I have gotten a lot done, I do feel like I have been neglecting the blog and the shop a little. It has been hard to keep up with everything when my natural flow of school and everything has been disrupted so much! I have worked on a few things this week though!

I did some dyeing this week, and got some great results! Look for this one in the shop soon!

I also played with my findings and such again this week. Each time I play, I feel like its getting easier for me to put these together without so much though and over thinking of everything!

I did a ton of drum carding of fiber this weekend. Way more then what is pictured. I did these for a project I am doing for the Toy Soldier army. I wanted to make roving inspired by Dr.Steel, then spin it and knit it into something.

See, I told you I did a lot,  I actually did this pile times two, because I carded a ton for my mom also! 

Its turning into such pretty yarn already! Look for it in the shop soon as well!

Inspirations for Today

I haven't had a lot of time to do projects for myself for a little while, and I think that it messes with me.
I love running my shop and I love my clients, getting to do what I want and get paid is so great! But between all that and trying to get my branding for myself and my business done, and school, sometimes you just can't wait till you can get a little alone time with your creativity
Soon though I'll have a slight bit more time for myself, and hope to get some new items and projects going!

Till then, I just keep collecting images, sketches and ideas!

Etsy has me in constant need of things! Lately it has been glass bottles and containers and lockets.
It started with a perfume locket I got in my great-grandfathers things. And again with this locket that I got at a local antique store. Now I just want them all!

Html and Updates

Learning to validate HTML today. What a pain! I also got all four skirts done for my client, got my hair cut and made a necklace for Etsy! I was productive today!

She will go and set the world on fire, no one thought she could do that

My day has consited of a lot of errands, and constant bickering with my personal branding. Sometimes I think I can get to wrapped up in what is "supposed to be" instead of what I want.

There are not rules in design, only guidelines.

Part of being me and running Kuriio is to go with what I like, and how I think things should happen. Kuriio can be anything I want it to be, so why do I get so stuck on how to brand it?

I have been listening to Kerli, and watching Coco before Channel, its such a beautiful movie to me. Like Memoirs of a Geisha, I can just watch it over and over. I am really fond of subtitles after watching so much anime, and Audrey Tautou is so gorgeous! Watching her in Coco is like when i watch Marylin Monroe or Fred Astaire.

Been working on a lot of projects, and Steamcon is so close! Still working away on pin back buttons for the Toy Soldiers, and finished the "prototype skirt", with the supplies for the skirts based off of the prototype coming in the mail. Hopefully tomorrow!

We have an art gallery opening tomorrow, its going to be big and so much fun! A lot of good company and music! Im wearing these, I can't help it! They are so cute! And temporary so I don't have to try to type in them much.

More new items will be up on Etsy tomorrow or Sunday. Sunday I meet with a good friend and model to shoot some of the clothing for the shop too!
