9 days to go till Steamcon 2!
Its making me very forgetful and frazzled! My blogs have been last minute things, and im trying to keep up on Etsy as well! Good thing that after Steamcon, live can resume as normal! I added 4 items to the shop today, and will be open till Thursday the 18th. Ill shut down on vacation mode for that weekend, probably till that Monday. I'll update from the Con when I can, but the blog will mostly be on vacation also!

Experiments

The busy keeps on going! Working on some of the final projects for Steamcon and my Client.  I also played for the first time with the idea of printing on fabric from a printer using freezer paper. I want to do clothing tags for my work and I love the idea of being able to design my own patches, etc.

This was just test number one, I used old fabric I had around and simple vectors for a project I am working on.  It was to light of a fabric and one sheet had a problem with the printer because of that. You also have to worry a lot about making sure that the whole sheet is cut as exact as possible. I'm still going to use the sheets I have printed, I kind of like the way they turned out!

Im gonna go pick up some other fabric and try again tomorrow!

Slow week!

This week has been the least productive in quite a while, but I have gotten a few things done. More things will be added to the shop this weekend, like these:
I definitely am making a pair for myself. All the beads and buttons are vintage from my great-grandpa's stuff. The beads are green glass and the buttons are vintage metal and rhinestone!

I'll leave you with a random photo i found on my camera:

-Till tomorrow!

Learning to validate HTML today. What a pain! I also got all four skirts done for my client, got my hair cut and made a necklace for Etsy! I was productive today!

We're all here cause we've lost control.

I have been listening to Innerpartysystem for a couple hours now while working and surfing. New favorite along with Kerli.

I have been spending a lot of my time on Etsy lately. Its hard not to buy everything! I have been into jewelry/jewelry making more so than before, and have had a hard time not buying supplies left and right! One of my favorites is Sparrow Salvage, her work is amazing, like Gibbous in jewelry form!

Still been working away on the skirts for my client. They should be done tomorrow though.

Some of my inspirations lately:

See a pattern yet?

10.10.10

I understand it only comes around once every forever, but it was just another day for me.

One of our local thrift stores moved, so I went to the new location on Sunday. There was a lot of neat stuff, some over priced, some decent. I only got one thing, but it is awesome!

(Wow, someone needs to teach me not to take photos at night in my room, they are terrible!)

We also went to Goodwill, I don't go there much but I am sure glad I went when I did!

I got a sweater:

With POODLES on it. It's amazing.

Then I went home and worked on stuff for my client and stuff for me. Mostly stuff for me. And my desk exploded.

And I made myself these:

For being any other day, I guess my 10.10.10 wasn't to bad!
